For NSW subcontractors and tradies who get paid on progress claims

Know your payment claim deadlines before they pass.

Enter your claim date and contract terms. Get a dated timeline and a list of what your claim seems to be missing.

Upload your payment claim and tell us the date you served it and what your contract says about payment. You get a calendar of the key NSW Security of Payment dates and a short list of gaps in the claim's wording, for you to check and fix.

Pre-order

Pre-orders open now. First deliveries from November 2026. Full refund if we can't deliver by the agreed date.

How it works

  1. 01

    Upload your claim

Add your payment claim (PDF, Word or a photo) plus the payment terms from your contract. Tell us whether you're a head contractor or a subcontractor, and whether it's residential work.

  2. 02

    We build the timeline

We work out the payment schedule date and the latest payment due date in business days, using the NSW timeframes or your contract's earlier dates if it sets them.

  3. 03

    You check and act

You get a one-page timeline and a list of items the claim seems to be missing, such as the amount, a description of the work, or the statement the Act requires where it applies. You decide what to change and when to serve it.

Payment claims are often lost on dates and missing wording, not on the work itself. We keep this to what can be checked against published guidance: business days, the items a claim should contain, and what your contract says. Anything that needs legal judgement, we tell you to take to a lawyer.

FAQ

Is this legal advice?

No. We work out dates from the information you give us and point out wording that seems to be missing, based on published NSW Government guidance. We're not lawyers. For a dispute, adjudication or anything urgent, talk to a construction lawyer or an authorised nominating authority.

Which states do you cover?

NSW only at launch. Each state has its own Security of Payment law with different timeframes, so we won't guess for other states.

What timeframes do you use?

NSW Government guidance says a progress payment is due 15 business days after the claim for head contractors, 20 business days for subcontractors, and 10 business days for subcontractors on exempt residential work, unless the contract sets an earlier date. A respondent who won't pay the full amount has at most 10 business days to give a payment schedule.

Why within 1 business day?

The schedule window is short. A claim check that takes two days uses up a large part of it.

What happens to my documents?

We use them only to deliver your order. We delete them 30 days after delivery and never use them to train AI models.

Can you tell me if my claim is valid?

No. We can show you which items appear to be missing compared with the guidance. Whether a claim is valid can depend on your contract and the facts, and only a lawyer or an adjudicator can give you a view on that.

Lynx Bay Pty Ltd is not a law firm and doesn't give legal advice. This service doesn't verify, certify or guarantee that a claim is valid or that you'll be paid. It is not connected to NSW Fair Trading, the NSW Government or any authorised nominating authority. Our output is a draft for you to check before you rely on it.
